Yesterday was my first visit to the Denver Botanic Gardens as well as the first time I had ever heard of or seen any of Dale Chihuly’s gorgeous glass sculptures. Being that I am not an art blogger I will not go into great detail here but I will try to let the pictures speak for themselves.
I was delighted to accompany our NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizer’s) National President Mary Dykstra-Novess of Within Reach Organizing of Grand Rapids, Michigan and NAPO-CO President Judith Houlding of Space Editing in Boulder, CO. We were also accompanied by Dayna RaeMartines-Melamed of Time for You Organizing in the greater Denver area.
We had a fabulous lunch and toured the entire gardens. Later in the evening we had a Chapter meeting and Mary was our speaker. If you have heard Mary speak before then you know what a treat that was for us! She is a fabulous, smart, and motivating speaker. We then had a wonderful social with free drinks courtesy of Polly Lestikow of The Closet Factory! It was really motivating to have a visit from our National NAPO President. I feel like it reinvigorated us to work harder, volunteer more, and make a difference in each other and our clients lives. Now it’s time for you to enjoy some photos of Chihuly’s glass sculptures.
If you are in Colorado I encourage you to visit the Chihuly Exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens which runs until Nov. 30th. If you aren’t in Denver take a look at the Chihuly website and see where you can visit an exhibit close to you. If you can, go at night and I promise you will be amazed!
