Howdy friends! Here is Part 2 of my foyer de-clutter. This is actually more of the home decorating part! Once I de-cluttered I just had to spruce it up a bit. I gave you a sneak peek of the color I would be painting the area. Do you remember what it was? If not you can read Part 1 of this post HERE.
If you have been reading my blog for awhile you know that my mom passed away suddenly last November. She didn’t leave very much behind but one thing was this Klimt print titled, “The Kiss.” She loved it! I liked it too but I didn’t really want the whole big picture. The masculine side is well, too masculine for me. So I had an idea that involved white IKEA RIBBA frames!
So here comes the blue! Why not right? My gallery wall has a lot of blue in it due to our outfits so I thought the blue would make the pictures pop and stand out even more! Plus we are redoing the stair railings soon as well. It will all come together!
Here is the finished result! I was also able to use another one of my mom’s pieces. She had this rust colored sunburst forever. I mean before sunbursts were officially “in”. So I found it in my basement, spray painted it gold (which I am into) and thought it would be perfect for my new blue wall.
I’m a little behind on my gallery wall as it officially grows every year. I am hoping the blue in the cubby helps me not to clutter up that area anymore and I am hoping the blue on the wall helps me get back into my gallery wall project.
Sometimes all you need is a little spruce up, painting, or moving things around to change your perspective and give you some motivation! What could use a little sprucing up in your entryway that might motivate you to keep it clean and organized? Let us know in the comments!
