Why Did You Become An Entrepreneur?

Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

Why did you become an entrepreneur? Have you ever sat down and asked yourself this and actually written down the answer?

Here’s my story.

I became an entrepreneur first because I needed somewhere to place some restless energy I had when I was trying to get over the fact we weren’t going to have more than one child. Sometimes your body tells you this before your brain and heart understand it. So you really need a place to focus the energy until the brain catches up and the heart heals.

I thought I had a unique skill and opportunity to help people organize their homes and lives. I became a professional organizer. I don’t believe you go into any kind of people business to just make money because there are probably so many easier ways to make money than working with humans who have needs and opinions of their own. I enjoyed my work and experiences with people.

At the same time I was invited write about organizing for a local newspaper’s mom blog with some very talented writers. Once I started writing I realized I how much I had missed it. I loved writing in high school and college, I had just let it go somewhere along the line.

I wrote for the blog for about a year when I realized I wanted to create my own organizing blog to help MORE people that I couldn’t get to locally. I did this while still working as a professional organizer.

Let’s just say my organizing blog blew up fast, in a good way! Suddenly, I was learning all about blogging, writing, social media marketing, e-mail marketing, creating webinars to sell, etc.etc. It was like going to college again but only taking all of the classes you LOVED! I was thoroughly absorbed and fascinated!

Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

My new entrepreneur goal was to monetize my blog and write full time while subcontracting out professional organizing work. This is what I did for another year. I worked for almost five years as an organizer. After about a year of sub contracting work out I realized I wanted to let that part of the business go and focus on the blog and creating courses to help people learn all that I had learned.

Things were going great! But at some point I realized I wasn’t actually writing what I wanted to be writing about anymore. I was burnt out of the How To type of posts. I wanted to write about why we do things instead of how to do them.

So I evolved again from my organizing blog to just blogging under my name. At the same time I was getting many inquiries on doing virtual assistant (VA) work for people and entrepreneur coaching. I fully believe when God hands you a gift you receive it! I began to take these jobs and realized while I love do some VA work on the side, coaching entrepreneurs and helping them grow their business was it for me! I LOVE IT!

In the past year I became really attracted to studying about mindset growth and manifesting everything you want. You can already tell from what I’ve said when I find a topic that interests me I dive right in! I love being a lifelong student. Now, I have integrated the entrepreneur coaching with the mindset coaching and found my CALLING!

The point of me sharing my story with you is to let you know that most of the time the entrepreneur’s journey isn’t a straight line but more like a curvy windy path with roadblocks and dead ends along the way. But it’s also filled with amazing experiences, education, and joy!

I would LOVE if you shared your entrepreneur journey with me!

Do You Believe in Yourself Really?

Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

I’m finding it a bit confusing when you say you believe in yourself, your business, your purpose, your calling, but you are not fully showing up to live it.

If you REALLY believed in your purpose or calling and creating your dream business then why are you only sticking your toe into the water instead of actually jumping into the deep end?

Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

No, I’m not picking on you, as I recently had to ask myself these very same hard questions.

Many of you may have a comfortable life already. Your spouse is the breadwinner so technically you can afford to just dip your toe in to test the waters before jumping all in. But how will you know if you can swim if you never get in the water?

This just leads me to think that maybe you really aren’t called to be a kick ass entrepreneur, creator, write, blogger, messenger. Maybe it’s just an idea you are “thinking about” or toying around with until something better and more entertaining comes along.

Because let me tell you if you really were called to be a creative entrepreneur then you literally wake up in the morning and can’t wait until you get the kids off to school and hubby off to work, so you can DIVE into the deep end of the water and test and create and lead!

You believe in yourself so much that you know a successful business is already DONE in your future! You are not afraid to try new things, learn new technology, and invest money and time where necessary. You are not afraid of failure or evolving because it’s all part of the game.

Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

If you were already a successful entrepreneur, making the money you want, helping the people you want, and living your dream what would you be doing right now differently? How would your life be different?

This is what I’ve had to learn and ask myself over and over because if you know it’s already done and BELIEVE in yourself REALLY then you should start living that way now!

How to Get Comfortable With Selling

How to Get Comfortable With Selling | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

How many of you are extra super comfortable about selling your products and/or services?

How many of you don’t have a problem sounding “salesy” and actually asking for the sale?

Okay, if you are comfortable and have no problems with the above you can just skip to the PS.

But for the rest of us it’s okay to admit that we struggle with being comfortable selling. Whether we are talking to our clients in person, writing a sales message, page, or blog, or asking for the sale on the phone we have that little bit of insecurity that creeps up on us.

This bit of insecurity is what makes us bumble our words and our message, negotiate and lower our fees, and give the potential client time to get away instead of asking for the sale. The insecurity about selling comes from 5 main areas.

How to Get Comfortable With Selling | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

5 Areas of Insecurity Around Selling

  1. Not know your product/service well enough (or not knowing how to talk about your product/service).
  2. Fear of doing it wrong (especially if you are trying to follow a formula).
  3. Fear of rejection.
  4. Not valuing yourself, product or service enough
  5. Trying to sell from a scarcity mindset.

Today, I want to talk about how you can get around number one. Here’s the thing, you have to know your product or services inside and out before you can really sell it.

If the above is true then it’s not that you don’t know your product, it’s that you have a hard time communicating the benefits of your product.

Bear with me as I go on a tangent here to tell you a story about my dog, JoJo.

Jo Jo is an amazing dog! She is fun, loyal, loving, and energetic!

She has helped me in so many ways!

Before we got JoJo, I was lonely, sad, and not exercising.

Once we brought JoJo into our lives I was more happy, walking daily, and now had a companion!

I know you might not be looking for a dog but once you meet Jo Jo you will not be able to resist getting one like her! She is wonderful! I’m so excited and I love talking about her! Maybe we can chat on the phone sometime and I can tell you more about how to get a dog like JoJo.

Okay, So you may have caught on in the middle that I’m not actually telling you a story but I’m trying to sell you a dog like Jo Jo!

This was not scripted it was off the top of my head because it was easy to just talk to you about my awesome dog!

Now try this exercise by replacing JoJo, and a few of the other words with your product or service:

____________ is an amazing ___________! ___________ is __________,__________and __________!

__________ has helped me in so many ways!

Before we got __________, I was __________,__________and __________.

Once we brought __________into our lives I was more happy, __________, and now had a __________!

I know you might not be looking for a __________ but once you __________ you will not be able to resist getting one! __________ is wonderful! I’m so excited and I love talking about __________! Maybe we can chat on the phone sometime and I can tell you more about how to get __________!

(BTW-one of my good friends said after doing this exercise she realized she needed to sell wine!)

How to Get Comfortable With Selling | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, sales, selling, business, business tips, entrepreneur, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, facebook, social media, email marketing, content marketing, business tools

Think about it like you just got an Apple Watch and you are telling your best friend how awesome it is and telling her about all of your favorite features, how it’s going to help you, and why you highly recommend her getting one. Tell her you are not sure how you ever survived, stayed on time and organized without one!

Once you write this out you will see you just wrote a sales page. This is how you get comfortable with selling.

If you have followed a step by step, bullet point by bullet point message about how to sell or write a sales page you can take some of the ideas but selling works so much better when you are natural and just sharing something you are passionate about with someone.

I encourage you to try this exercise out and please let me know what you think!

Opt-In Secrets: Forced Action vs. Natural Action

Opt-In Secrets: Forced Action vs. Natural Action | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools, RESISTANCE, BLOCKS, FLOW, ALIGNMENT, Business tips, business, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss,

Have you ever noticed some people offer nothing but the promise of a daily message as an opt-in? Others give away entire courses as an opt-in. Are there some kind of opt-in secrets we should know?

Let’s take a look.

“When you incentivize somebody to do something that is predicated on rewarding them with something else, you’re not actually getting the natural action. Forcing behavior instead of reacting to behavior.” Gary Vaynerchuk

Opt-In Secrets: Forced Action vs. Natural Action | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools, RESISTANCE, BLOCKS, FLOW, ALIGNMENT, Business tips, business, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss,

Forced Behavior List

Example 1: If you opt-in to my email list you’ll get my free 10 day coaching program. (Forced behavior).

Example 2: If you opt-in to my emails list you will get great content, ideas, strategies, and special offers, but nothing for free at this time. (natural behavior-their incentive is because they want to).

The forced behavior may work better to get them in but will they stay and will they be your ideal client?

Natural Action List

This is exactly the same thing we are trying to teach our eight year old right now.

Example 1: If you do your chores we’ll take you to get a toy later.

Example 2: If you do your chores you will be proud you contributed to the family and get a great sense of fulfillment.

The natural action is always better than the forced action. I’m not saying you shouldn’t offer both. But if your email list is growing slowly because people are taking the natural action that’s amazing! Those people want to be on your list, they value what you have to say, will become a repeat client and are not just there for the freebie never to be heard from again.

Many businesses are built one client at a time and that’s okay.

If your list is growing exponentially fast due to a badass free offer of some kind that’s great too. I challenge you in the future to see what your open rate is for those on this list vs. your natural action list. See who has stuck around, values what you have to say, become a repeat client, and not unsubscribed.

Do Both

I would encourage you to have one of each kind of opt in to see which one performs better for your audience.

If you find one is way out performing the other then you know what you should be doing from now on.
Just some food for thought!

Why Being a Mompreneur is the Hardest Job

Why Being a Mompreneur is the Hardest Job | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, self improvement, business, business tips, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, momlife, moms, GOAL SETTING, GOALS, OUTCOMES, BIG DREAMS, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, instagram, pinterest, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, social media, email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools, RESISTANCE, BLOCKS, FLOW, ALIGNMENT

Being a mompreneur is the absolute hardest job out there.

Let me tell you why:

The grandparents took our eight year old son for most of the weekend.

They saw a movie, went to a museum, learned about flying dinosaurs, and even did and a little digging for gemstones.

Our home was quiet for most of the weekend. It was blissful.

My husband sat working and reading and enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. I buzzed around worked on the house and spring cleaning all of Saturday. On Sunday I worked on my computer and business.

I was amazed at how much work I got done with no child at home.

That said, by Sunday afternoon it was too quiet and I was ready for the noise of my kiddo again!

If you are a mom you know what I mean.

Why Being a Mompreneur is the Hardest Job | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, self improvement, business, business tips, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, momlife, moms, GOAL SETTING, GOALS, OUTCOMES, BIG DREAMS, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, instagram, pinterest, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, social media, email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools, RESISTANCE, BLOCKS, FLOW, ALIGNMENT

Mompreneur

Being an entrepreneur and a mom is an amazing balance act which I’ve likened to sitting on a see-saw before.

While trying to work on & successfully grow both.

Once in awhile you get to feel the difference of what it would be like if you could work on your business full time. Of course I’m not saying we wish we didn’t have our children. There is just a simple freedom of knowing how much more we could get accomplished.

Time & Money

I remember my twenties and now I wish I had started and grown my business then when I was free.

But you see I didn’t appreciate time the same way I do now. Before you learn there are going to be things that will take up most of your time in life you are free and time has no limits!

The same goes for money. You appreciate money more when you have a certain amount going to many things vs. a certain amount only going to one thing with a lot left over.

Until you learn the value of money you simply can’t appreciate it.

As a mom you absolutely know the value of the time you spend with your child because it is precious. You also know the value of the money you spend on your family because it is finite.

The same holds true as a mompreneur. Time is precious and money is finite.

Why Being a Mompreneur is the Hardest Job | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, self improvement, business, business tips, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, momlife, moms, GOAL SETTING, GOALS, OUTCOMES, BIG DREAMS, blogging, RESISTANCE, BLOCKS, FLOW, ALIGNMENT

Emotions

What about the roller coaster of emotions a mom goes through with her child. I mean I get emotional just watching my child sleep. Thinking about him growing up, getting older, playing sports, it’s all almost too much for my heart.

The same holds true for an entrepreneur. Birthing new products and ideas, watching them succeed or fail, getting rejected, being accepted, making money, not making money, this is also almost too much for my heart.

That’s why I believe being a mompreneur is the hardest job in the world. You have two passions, full of emotion, balancing time for each (not to mention hubby), while using a finite resource!

Why Being a Mompreneur is the Hardest Job | AUTUMNLEOPOLD.COM | Mindset, message, self sabotage, self improvement, business, business tips, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, momlife, moms, GOAL SETTING, GOALS, OUTCOMES, BIG DREAMS, blogging, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, instagram, pinterest, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, social media, email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools, RESISTANCE, BLOCKS, FLOW, ALIGNMENT

What if you throw in other passions like:

Church, bible study, hiking, photography, boating, and skiing?

And kid activities like football, swimming, music lessons, and birthday parties.

Not to mention date nights, extended family, family vacations, housework, and yardwork.

Holy crap now a mompreneur really is SUPERGIRL!

That’s our life and we live and breathe for it! We are living our dream.

I’m not just a stay at home mom. I’m freaking Superwoman!

Am I slightly envious of women for whatever reason have more time to work on their business? Sometimes.

But mostly I know it’s up to me to create and manage my schedule to allow me to live my best most aligned life with all that God has blessed me with!

This is my affirmation, “I am going to make money in such a way that it doesn’t cost me my chill time and time with my family!”

You can insert whatever you want but it should become a daily affirmation for you too.

I would love to hear your thoughts about being a mompreneur!

Why I Won’t Do Discounts Anymore

Why I Won't Do Discounts Anymore | autumnleopold.com | Business tips, business, branding, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, ecourse, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, instagram, pinterest, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, social media, email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools

In my mastermind group there seems to be many conversations going on about whether or not to offer discounts to clients and whether or not to accept a deal a client wants to make with you for a discount.

I don’t know about you but this is something I have struggled with for a long time. In the past four years I have found myself offering discounted courses, letting clients negotiate with me for a lower hourly rate for my services, and not gone after clients who never fully paid their payments.

The one thing I have learned over and over from this is when I do something that is out of alignment for myself (which all three of the above are) it is a major energy drain. It causes me anxiety, feelings of not being good enough, as well as being a total distraction.

Why I Won't Do Discounts Anymore | autumnleopold.com | Business tips, business, branding, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, ecourse, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, instagram, pinterest, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, social media, email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools

Here are some thoughts to consider about discounts:

When you are just starting out and lack experience you feel it’s necessary to start at a discounted hourly rate to attract more clients. However, you should never undercut the market standard hourly rate for your industry or you are doing not only a disservice to yourself but your peers as well.

What do you consider more valuable, a one hour Q&A with a coach or mentor or a discount? (Remember you think like your ideal clients so what you value they will too.)

Instead of discounts, what extra value could your provide your clients within the product or service? (Hint: What are your clients struggling with that you could help them fix?)

Discounts are also very subjective. To some your discount may be a great offer, other may wonder why you are discounting at all.

I’ve also always found that if it’s something I really want to do I can manifest the money. For example, when I discovered a mastermind I really wanted to be in that had a monthly fee, I signed up knowing I didn’t have the money in coming in to pay for it. However, I wanted it so badly I got my hustle on and started creating daily income to pay for that and more.

Why I Won't Do Discounts Anymore | autumnleopold.com | Business tips, business, branding, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, ecourse, blog course, info product, freelance, marketing, instagram, pinterest, facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, social media, email marketing, content marketing, blogging, b2b, productivity, business tools

You have a couple of options when it comes to discounts:

You can decide the clients are being cheap and trying to lessen the value of your offer or service.

You can decide they really enjoy working with you and want to find a way to continue, so they are offering what they can do at the time. You can accept or counter offer.

You can create an entirely new offer for the client which you are both comfortable with. (This sounds more like VIP treatment on a beer budget to me).
Keep in mind offering discounts to one client it isn’t fair to other clients who have paid full price for the service or program.

Keep in mind that you are doing a disservice to your client by allowing them to think they can get the result without investing at the appropriate rate and they wouldn’t be experiencing the true benefit of investing in themselves.

I truly believe I am at the point in life where I believe gaining more value from a coach, service or course, is better than receiving a discount. I’m betting my ideal clients feel the same.

I would love to hear you thoughts on offering discounts.

7 Ways to Make Follow-Through Easier

7 Ways to Make Follow-Through Easier | autumnleopold.com | Mindset, message, self sabotage, self improvement, business, business tips, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, momlife, moms, GOAL SETTING, GOALS, OUTCOMES, BIG DREAMS, blogging

Lately, I am struggling with follow-through. Okay let’s be honest, I have probably always struggled with this.

I really dislike this small fact about myself.

I am one of the people who really had to dig deep and push through to get things done. This applies to most things. Not just things I don’t really want to do.

Unless I really love something I struggle with follow-through.

I have really been journaling on this lately to find out what I can do to finally overcome this block that I have with following-through.

7 Ways to Make Follow-Through Easier | autumnleopold.com | Mindset, message, self sabotage, self improvement, business, business tips, entrepreneurs, startup, solopreneur, mompreneur, biz, girlboss, ladyboss, productivity, momlife, moms, GOAL SETTING, GOALS, OUTCOMES, BIG DREAMS, blogging

I’ve come up with a few things to put into action:

  • You have to DECIDE to do it. Whatever it is. Whatever goal you are trying to accomplish, or project you want to finish.

  • Sometimes you either have to rest or simply overcome being tired.

Meaning if you are not functioning well, it’s time to rest. Or if you know you’ve just gotten a good night sleep but are bored which is making your tired you have to push on to follow-through.

  • You have to challenge your body to do more.

Our bodies are capable of so much more than we actually use them for. We limit ourselves based on our comfort zones. You are never really pushing yourself until you are out of your comfort zone. Outside of your comfort zone is where the real work begins.

  • You should get an accountability partner or life/success coach, or join a support group  if possible.

Someone you can be honest with about your successes and failures.

  • Don’t quit mid stream. If you are in the middle of something don’t get distracted and put it down. Keep going until it’s finished. If it takes two days allow yourself two days.

If it’s a big project you can split your days. Work on the big project every morning and other tasks in the afternoon. Keep working on it until it’s finished.

Keep in mind it feels better to get one task completely done then it is to have five undone tasks waiting for you to finish.

  • Make sure the project is even necessary for you to finish.

I’ve started and put down many projects and when I go back either it’s not necessary anymore, or I’m not interested. Either way you don’t have to finish it “just because.”

  • Set a deadline and/or use a timer.

This works really well if you like the rush you get from only having a certain amount of time to do something.

I know from experience that I work better on short deadlines because I have to follow through quickly.

It’s almost if I put the project down and walk away from it I have a hard time picking it back up again. Sometimes it can take months.

At least I know this now so I can be sure to either finish quickly, make myself pick it back up to finish, or not allow myself to start another project until one gets completed.

These are seven techniques I use to try to overcome my poor follow-through. I’ll admit I am a work in progress and hope to overcome this block. I know that by deciding to follow-through and using these techniques I’ll eventually create a habit and it will no longer be a block for me. I hope they help you too!

When I was young I only thought of shortcuts as back-roads that get you where you want to go a bit faster. At least that’s what my dad always told me when he would take one.

Another related thing dad said was, “You’re never lost until you are out of gas.”

Meaning sometimes his shortcuts didn’t work! (He’ll never admit that though!)

Everybody wants a shortcut now days.

A shortcut through the line at the grocery store.

A shortcut to get through security at the airport.

A shortcut to getting rich.

A shortcut to a lean and fit body.

It goes on and on.

What You Miss

But when you take a shortcut you may miss some very important information along the way.

You may miss being humbled and grateful.

You may miss the connections you need to make to be successful.

You may miss the knowledge it requires to maintain a lean and fit body.

If you miss these critical experiences then you may have to go back and START OVER.

Wasting precious time.

Sometimes it’s already too late because what you missed along the way the first time isn’t available to you anymore.

Missed opportunities due to shortcuts.

Here’s the thing: There is only ONE shortcut.

FLOW (being in alignment).

What is is being in alignment and how is it a shortcut to all of my desires?

Living in alignment is:

Being driven by your energy. Your energy changed around you for the better.

You are serving your calling and living your purpose.

You are content with the hear and now and no longer stressed and worried about your future.

You are listening to and trusting your intuition.

You fully love and believe in yourself.

Everything you do comes from your inner core and purpose.

Seeking Alignment

Once you find and experience being in alignment in one area of your life you will always want to seek it in other areas.

That’s the hard part that takes a lot of habits and discipline. Trying to be in alignment in all areas of your life at the same time.

Alignment does NOT mean perfection. It means contentment.

Maybe there are people out there who live in alignment all of the time. But to me staying in alignment is a journey that takes discipline and practice.

The ONLY true shortcut is FLOW!

I will live a FLOW based life. I will never stop seeking alignment in all areas.

What about you?

Entrepreneur: Why You Have to Keep Going

As an entrepreneur do you ever look around at your environment particularly if it’s your home and think of all of the things you could be doing instead of growing your own business?

For example, I looked around this morning and I see laundry that needs to be put away, dishes that should be done, and a few unfinished projects and I think to myself I maybe I should take they day off and get those things done.

After all what’s one day off to an entrepreneur? We own our own business, we make our own schedule!

But then I feel it, that WAVE of emotion that simply says NO, I have to keep going. Keep pushing, keep helping, keep influencing, and keep showing up daily IF I want this business to be as successful as I know it WILL be!

Only after I do my Daily Success Strategies (DSS) can I then think about the house or my environment.

In fact, the ONLY things that should come before my DSS are Jesus and my family!

I accomplish those every morning by spending time with my son as he gets ready for school. When I get up an hour before him I will do some bible study/journaling as well. We sometimes read a devotional or just talk about Jesus. Then on the way to and from school we listen to a little worship music. Then I come home make some hot tea and get my daily hustle ON!

This new way of putting my DSS first hasn’t been as much of a struggle as I thought it would be. I don’t mind leaving housework and other things until the end of the day and spending my fresh morning energy on my business, fitness and self.

I was doing it the other way around for so many years and getting nowhere really. But it was the perfectionist in me that always put the home and family before myself. I mean sure my home looked perfect but I ended up with an over entitled child and gained 50 pounds. That didn’t do our child or me any good.

In the fall of last year I decided it was time for a BIG change.

A change in the way I run my business, the way hubby and I run the home and parent, and the way I was (not) taking care of myself.

First, I had to figure out what was missing, and why nothing was working the way I wanted it to.

The answer was that I was not SHOWING UP DAILY on all fronts.

I was not showing up daily in my business, in my parenting, in being the best wife I could be, and in taking care of myself.
Somewhere along the line I had grown complacent in my life and was just letting my BIG DREAMS roll on by.

Well, I know for a fact it doesn’t have to be this way. That all it takes is a mindset shift to turn the whole thing around. It’s really amazing!

You don’t have to be held captive for the rest of your life by the way your brain works right now.

It’s a scientific fact that we can rewire our brains to be healthier and happier.

Let me ask, are you ready for that mindset shift? Are you ready to stop letting your BIG DREAMS roll by?

So what are you gonna do about it?
